Working like a beast !!

This is a Ford Ranger that we are developing a prototype kit for currently.

That piece of plastic is part of the front firewall that i designed. this will be laser cut out of 4mm swedish armour plate.

this is one wing of the warehouse, all these vehicles are currently in production.

another wing of the factory, that gate is for the new premises being built next door, hopefully we will be able to move in over the next 3 or 4 months.

my TIG welding, not too shabby.

this is a completed Toyota Hilux extra cab that has been armoured, the ring in the front windscreen is a gun port.

this is the inside of the cab, 4mm armour plate, gun ports, bullet proof windscreen.

These kits came in today. this is how they arrive from the laser cutter, now to assemble them.

Got to visit Pretoria, this is what it looks like coming in on the highway, that big building is the Uni.

1st week in SA

Well it’s been a week since my last post; mum has been giving me the guilt trip all week so here are a few more pictures.

Unfortunately there aren’t more, I spend most of my time covered in grease.

One of the fenced compounds. This is where Dot lived.

i saw this while walking down the street, i have no idea why there is a door up there.

Found this in one of the local supermarkets.

They dont even have little conveyor belts on their check outs.

They do however have people that will pack your car for you.

This is one of the local schools, the gates are always guarded or closed, makes it real hard to wag.

alot of stuff you can get at intersections from drinks to car charges to sunglasses and t-shirts.

One day it started hailing, with lightning and thunder. the temperature here goes from 11 degrees in the morning to 20 something during the day.

Also got to go shopping with Robbie and Andrew, we found out that a couple hours later there was a shoot out down the road.

South Africa

Well i have been here for 1 day and what an education it has been!

Jonty picked my up at the airport, we went straight to work.

Beautiful scenery.

Taxi drivers - apparantly i havent seen anything yet although some where overtaking in the oncoming lane.

after a wonderful dinner cooked by Sarah it was nice to catch up with everyone, i was in bed by 9.

Singapore

This hotel is actually three buildings joined half way and along the top. its massive.

they call this the Singapore Flyer. its a giant ferris wheel.

i told my taxi driver if he found me somewhere with good food i would shout him some, this is the outcome.

The meals onboard arent bad at all, this was pork stroganoff for lunch

The flight took me over brisbane and darwin and alot of the northern territory, lots of nothing really.

Temperature at 36000ft was -42 degrees celcius
